Transcription runs with WhisperKit and the summaries, tasks, and clean notes are produced by a compact language model, both directly on your iPhone. No server in the loop.
Private by default
Your voice, transcripts, and notes are processed locally and stay in a local encrypted archive. The app needs no account to work. Nothing about your notes is sent anywhere by default.
Works offline
After a one-time model download on first launch, Sonora works on a plane, in a dead zone, or behind a firewall. The network is an option, never a requirement.
Search and ask your archive
Keyword and semantic search across everything you have captured. Ask a question in plain language and the on-device model answers from your own past notes.
Threads
Sonora clusters related notes into topics automatically, so the things you keep returning to surface on their own instead of getting lost in a list.
Translation
Translate a captured note on-device, including between Russian and English, without your words leaving the phone.
Honest about the edges
Sonora is private by default. The only optional path off the device is product analytics, which is turned off unless you choose to enable it, and even then it carries only anonymous usage signals such as which screens are used and error codes.
