Terms of Use

These Terms of Use (“Terms”) govern your use of the Sonora application and the website at sonora.erarta.ai (together, the “Service”), published by Erarta Studio (“Sonora”, “we”, “us”). By using the Service you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use the Service.

Use of the Service

Sonora is a personal productivity tool that captures spoken input and transforms it into structured text on your device. You may use it for lawful purposes only. You are responsible for the content you create or import and for complying with any laws that apply to recording, storing, or processing that content, including obtaining any consent required to record other people.

Your content

You retain all rights to the audio, transcripts, notes, and other content you create or import. Because this content is processed and stored on your device, we do not access, own, or control it. You are responsible for backing up and safeguarding your own content and your device.

On-device AI and accuracy

Sonora uses on-device artificial intelligence models for transcription and text transformation. These models are useful but imperfect. Output may contain errors, omissions, or inaccuracies. Do not rely on Sonora as a sole source for decisions where accuracy is critical, including legal, medical, financial, or safety matters. You are responsible for reviewing output before relying on it.

Optional third-party providers

If you choose to enable an optional setting that connects your own third-party AI provider with your own key, your use of that provider is governed by the provider’s own terms and privacy policy. We are not responsible for third-party services, and any charges you incur with a provider are your responsibility.

Purchases

Some features may be offered as paid upgrades through the Apple App Store. Purchases, billing, renewals, and refunds for those upgrades are handled by Apple under Apple’s terms. Please review those terms before purchasing.

Intellectual property

The Service, including the Sonora name, logo, software, and website, is owned by Erarta Studio and protected by applicable laws. These Terms do not grant you any rights to our trademarks or branding.

Disclaimers

The Service is provided “as is” and “as available” without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied, to the maximum extent permitted by law. We do not warrant that the Service will be uninterrupted, error-free, or fit for a particular purpose.

Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, Erarta Studio will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or any loss of data, arising from your use of, or inability to use, the Service.

Changes

We may update these Terms from time to time. When we do, we will revise the date at the top of this page. Continued use of the Service after changes take effect constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.
